About The Position

HiddenLayer is seeking a Platform Engineer to own the deployment, management, and evolution of its multi-prem platform across diverse customer environments, including bare-metal data centers and commercial and government-regulated environments. The role bridges the continuously deployed SaaS platform with shrink-wrapped customer-hosted releases, maintaining alignment, consistency, and operational excellence across deployments. It spans infrastructure, networking, Kubernetes, and secure automation in complex, regulated, and hybrid environments. The Platform Engineer will lead deployment and lifecycle management across commercial cloud, bare-metal, air-gapped, and IL4+ environments; automate consistent deployments; maintain parity between SaaS and customer-hosted software; and support secure releases, troubleshooting, upgrades, and incident response. The role also contributes to the multi-prem reference architecture and documents deployment patterns, templates, and procedures for automation and accreditation workflows. The position is remote within the United States. HiddenLayer is a remote global team that brings employees together a couple of times per year.

  • Strong networking foundation, including DNS, routing, VPC design, VPNs, firewalls, and service meshes.
  • Proficiency with secure CI/CD pipelines, including GitHub Actions.
  • Experience maintaining Linux systems, observability stacks, and automation tooling.

  • Knowledge of supply chain security, including SLSA, SBOM, image signing, and provenance.
  • Background in AI/ML or data-centric security platforms.
  • Familiarity with Temporal, Kafka, or distributed systems architecture.
  • Experience maintaining multi-tenant platform parity between SaaS and customer-hosted versions.
  • Eligibility for Secret or higher U.S. Government clearance is preferred.
