About The Position

Flourish and Thrive Labs is hiring a Platform Engineer to keep PH360, its public health technology platform, reliable, secure, and ready for local, state, territorial, tribal, and federal public health agencies. The role configures and maintains AWS and Salesforce environments across development, staging, and production; maintains GitHub Actions CI/CD workflows; monitors system health; and contributes to incident response and SOC 2 and HIPAA compliance activities. The Platform Engineer will join the System Team and support the Agile Release Train, participating in Scaled Agile for Enterprise ceremonies, including PI Planning. The role involves daily collaboration with platform engineers and coordination with System, Solution, and Enterprise Architects. AI coding and productivity assistants are expected to be part of the workflow, while humans remain accountable for infrastructure decisions, reviews, security configurations, and actions affecting protected health information. Success includes learning the platform and completing an initial sandbox configuration task, then independently managing sandbox environments and CI/CD workflows, and ultimately improving environment reliability and synchronization, reducing sandbox access issues, and contributing to more efficient deployments. Core collaboration hours are 10 A.M. to 2 P.M. Central, Monday through Friday, with flexibility outside those hours. Occasional availability outside core hours may be needed around major releases or compliance milestones. There is no formal on-call rotation; production incidents are handled on a best-effort basis. The role is on a career ladder from Platform Engineer (mid-level) to Senior Platform Engineer and Staff Platform Engineer. Advancement criteria are published and reviewed with the manager. The company supports professional development, including pursuing Salesforce and AWS certifications. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, adhere to the no-drug workplace policy, and agree to employment-status eVerify at hiring.
