About The Position

United Plastic Fabricating (UPF) is seeking mechanically inclined individuals or those with hands-on hobbies to learn a new skill as a Plastic Welder. UPF, a family-owned company since 1986, are innovators of plastic products for the fire, truck, and industrial markets, ensuring all products are designed and fabricated to customer needs with a focus on quality and cost-effectiveness. This role involves performing plastic welding operations, assembling products, inspecting materials, and maintaining a safe work environment while collaborating with team members to meet production goals. Requirements

• Mechanically inclined
• Willingness to learn a skilled trade
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Positive attitude and desire for continuous improvement
• Ability to stand, bend, reach, climb, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds regularly

Responsibilities

• Perform plastic welding operations on a variety of products and components
• Read and follow blueprints, work instructions, and specifications
• Assemble products according to quality and production standards
• Inspect materials and finished products to ensure accuracy and quality
• Assist with layout, assembly, and other production-related tasks
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals
