About The Position

The Plant Operations Supervisor provides strategic operational oversight for production operating facilities with a moderate presence in multiple regions or a moderate degree of complexity. The supervisor oversees facilities and holds them accountable to standards for safety, quality, operational effectiveness, and financial performance. The role includes routine operational work and the same tasks performed by team employees, along with responsibilities for production planning, budgets, personnel, and coaching.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, including the ability to communicate with all levels of the plant.
• Ability and willingness to provide one week of on-call coverage per month, including nights and weekends.

Nice To Haves

• One year of supervisory experience.
• At least two years of experience in production and warehouse management.

Responsibilities

• Execute routine operations in the assigned area and ensure direct reports follow policies and procedures for employee, food and feed safety, and environmental compliance.
• Monitor production outcomes, quantity, and quality to ensure customer and food safety requirements meet specifications.
• Partner with production supervisors to meet customer specifications and timelines.
• Administer a department, process, or shift production budget; execute purchase orders and ensure timely payment of invoices.
• Develop operational plans and monitor routine operations across production processes for multiple departments, processes, and shifts.
• Develop, supervise, and coach direct reports, including coaching on company core values and guiding principles.
• Make hiring, performance, and disciplinary decisions for direct reports.
• Perform the same tasks as employees on the team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
