About The Position

Join Plymouth Tube Company: a well-established, 5th-generation family-owned manufacturer recently celebrating 100 years in business. We are seeking a strategic HR leader to join our team as a Plant Human Resources Manager. This role serves as both a trusted advisor and operational partner to site leadership, aligning people initiatives with business objectives. This role collaborates closely with the Plant Manager and site leadership team to guide workforce-related matters, including organizational design, leadership coaching, talent planning, culture, employee relations, and workforce development. By anticipating needs and translating business priorities into effective HR practices, the HR Manager helps drive both short-term performance and long-term success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field
  • Minimum of five years of HR leadership experience within a manufacturing setting
  • A minimum of five years in a facility-level management role
  • Demonstrated professionalism and strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels
  • Broad-based HR knowledge with proven experience as a generalist including prior experience with HRIS platforms (including timekeeping and payroll)
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications at an intermediate or higher level

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced certification such as SPHR or SHRM-SCP is highly desirable

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute HR strategies that strengthen organizational effectiveness, workforce capability, and culture
  • Adapt HR and talent management solutions to meet business-specific challenges and improve results
  • Build and sustain strong, trusted relationships with leaders, employees, and external partners
  • Support constructive labor–management relations and ensure compliance with agreements
  • Partner with subject-matter experts and functional teams to implement shared initiatives in areas such as talent, operations, and culture
  • Provide tools, resources, and consultation that enable leaders to achieve site goals.
  • Leverage workforce analytics to support data-driven decision making and performance improvements
  • Distill complex data into clear insights, recommendations, and actionable steps
  • Navigate sensitive employee relations issues and facilitate resolution
  • Coach and mentor leaders in effective people management practices
  • Lead the annual performance management cycle and ensure consistency of process
  • Administer employee leave programs and manage adherence to attendance policies
  • Administer local timekeeping/payroll process for hourly employees
  • Oversee recruitment for hourly positions and assist with recruitment for salaried positions
  • Uphold company values and behaviors outlined in its mission and guiding principles.
  • Represent the organization with professionalism and integrity
  • Adhere to all workplace safety, environmental, and quality standards
  • Provide leadership and mentor teams as needed
