About The Position

The Pizza Pantry Cook is responsible for preparing food items according to established standards, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations. This role involves food preparation, inventory management, and accommodating guest requests while adhering to cost control procedures. The position may also require assisting in other departments and maintaining Title 31 Compliance.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 or older.
  • Must qualify for a Tribal Non-gaming license.
  • Must be able to communicate in the primary language used in the workplace.
  • A minimum of 1 year in food preparation.
  • Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods up to four hours in length.
  • Must have the ability to lift pots, pans, and other items up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires normal vision, including color acuity and depth perception, reaching, bending, stooping, grasping, finger dexterity and hand/eye coordination.
  • Must be able to perform safely and effectively in conditions of wet floors and temperature extremes.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Complies with department rules, policies, and procedures, maintaining and supporting a safe and encouraging work environment.
  • Maintains station in a neat, clean orderly manner.
  • Rotates all food in assigned refrigerator and places all food in dated, labeled and clean containers.
  • Prevents the spoiling and contamination of foods by practicing proper sanitation and complying with health regulations.
  • Prepares on time all food items designated to the assigned station in accordance with standards of quality, quantity, taste, and presentation as established by the Executive Chef.
  • Inspects all food for taste, temperature, and eye appeal.
  • Adheres to recipes and posted food pictures to ensure uniformity and consistency.
  • Prepares all items needed for the next day.
  • Accommodates guest requests for special food items as available.
  • Adheres to all cost control procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • May be required to assist in other departments when necessary or for training purposes.
  • Maintaining Title 31 Compliance accurately.
