About The Position

The PIT Operator is responsible for receiving, shipping, and stocking product. The role operates a gasoline-, liquefied-gas-, or electric-powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices to move products, equipment, or materials. The operator supports warehouse inventory and material needs, completes inventory transactions and error research, and may perform receiving, shipping, work-in-process moving, or RTS duties as needed. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function. The position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED, or two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be forklift certified.
Ability to follow safety guidelines and rules.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to multitask.
Ability to work with Warehouse ERP systems.

Responsibilities

Operate an industrial truck and control its lifting apparatus using levers and pedals.
Position forks or other lifting devices around loads and transport them to designated areas.
Unload and stack materials by raising and lowering the lifting device.
Inventory materials on the work floor and supply workers with materials as needed.
Weigh materials or products and record weights on tags, labels, or production schedules.
Load or unload materials onto or off pallets, trailers, or the lifting device.
Shrink-wrap pallets and products on pallets.
Complete transactions and research inventory errors to keep product information current and prevent expiration.
Perform receiving, shipping, WIP moving, or RTS duties as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
