About The Position

The PIT Operator operates powered industrial lift trucks and order pickers to move products, equipment, and materials in a warehouse. The role uses handheld scanners, supports loading and unloading trailers, and performs inbound receiving processes while maintaining a clean work environment and following GXO’s 7S program and quality policy. The position requires safe equipment operation, process excellence, and the ability to work in a warehouse environment that may be hot or cold.

Requirements

• Be trained and certified in the safe operation of powered industrial lift trucks.
• Be available to work a flexible schedule, including overtime when needed.
• Be able to frequently lift 50 pounds and occasionally lift more than 75 pounds.
• Be able to lift objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights.
• Be able to bend, stoop, squat, twist, push, and pull.
• Be able to stand, sit, or walk for long periods of time.
• Be able to handle or manage tools or equipment.
• Be able to tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of warehouse experience.
• A positive attitude and the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills.
