About The Position

At GXO, a PIT Operator II helps provide supply chain solutions by operating powered industrial lift trucks and order pickers and moving materials. The role is based in Clayton, Indiana, and follows a weekend shift from Saturday through Monday, 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. The operator uses handheld scanning equipment, handles trailer loading and unloading, performs inbound receiving, and supports process quality and workplace cleanliness. The job requires safe-operation training and certification, schedule flexibility, and the ability to meet the stated physical demands and work in hot or cold warehouse environments.

Requirements

• Training and certification in the safe operation of powered industrial lift trucks.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime when needed.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently and more than 75 pounds occasionally; lift objects of varying shapes, sizes, and weights; bend, stoop, squat, twist, push, and pull; stand, sit, or walk for long periods; handle or manage tools or equipment; and tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments.

Responsibilities

• Operate powered industrial lift trucks and order pickers to push, pull, lift, stack, or move product, equipment, and materials.
• Use a handheld scanner accurately.
• Load and unload trailers as needed.
• Follow the 7S program and maintain a clean environment.
• Demonstrate commitment to process excellence and understanding of the Supply Chain quality policy.
• Perform inbound receiving processes.
