About The Position

Carolina Pipe Fabrication, LLC is hiring an experienced Pipe Fitter for its Pipe Shop. The role supports HVAC, mechanical, and industrial projects and requires operating common trade hand and power tools, including a Victaulic grooving machine, overhead hoists, and general pipe-fitting tools. The fitter follows safety policies and procedures, communicates clearly with the shop foreman, follows direction, and performs other duties as assigned.

This is a second-shift position scheduled Sunday through Thursday, 4:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Eastern. Applicants must have three years of field pipefitting experience, required hand tools, the ability to identify and install pipe grades and systems, and the ability to read blueprints. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, as are successful background and drug screening checks.

The work involves frequent or constant standing, walking, reaching, gripping, and other physical activity, as well as lifting materials. The environment may include exposure to weather, extreme temperatures, high noise, electrical shock, toxic or caustic chemicals, wet or humid conditions, vibration, moving mechanical parts, and elevated work areas.

Requirements

• Three years of field pipefitting experience, including soldering, brazing, threading pipe, grooving pipe, installing hangers, and working with carbon steel pipe up to 24 inches.
• Must have the hand tools required for the position.
• Ability to identify and install pipe grades and systems.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Must successfully pass a background check and drug test.
• Must be able to talk and hear and meet the stated physical demands, including frequent or constant lifting and occasional lifting of heavy materials.

Responsibilities

• Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the trade, including a Victaulic grooving machine, overhead hoists, and general pipe-fitting tools.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Communicate clearly with the shop foreman and follow direction.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Company.
