About The Position

Carolina Pipe Fabrication, LLC is hiring an experienced Pipe Fitter for its pipe shop. The role supports HVAC, mechanical, and industrial projects and involves operating trade-related hand and power tools, following safety policies, and communicating with the shop foreman. The position requires field pipefitting experience, the ability to read blueprints, and the ability to identify and install pipe grades and systems. Applicants must provide their own required hand tools and pass a background check and drug test. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

The work environment may involve exposure to weather, extreme heat or cold, high noise levels, atmospheric conditions, electrical shock, toxic or caustic chemicals, wet or humid conditions, vibration, moving mechanical parts, and elevated work areas. The job has very heavy physical demands, including frequent and constant lifting as described in the posting.

Requirements

• Three years of field pipefitting experience, including soldering, brazing, threading pipe, grooving pipe, installing hangers, and working with carbon steel pipe up to 24 inches.
• Must have the hand tools required for the position.
• Ability to identify and install pipe grades and systems.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Must successfully pass a background check and drug test.
• Able to meet the stated physical demands, including lifting and material handling.

Responsibilities

• Assist with work related to HVAC, mechanical, and industrial projects.
• Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the trade as needed, including a Victaulic grooving machine, overhead hoists, and general pipefitting tools.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Communicate clearly with the shop foreman and follow direction.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Company.
