Helper 2nd Shift - Pipe Shop
About The Position
Carolina Pipe Fabrication, LLC is hiring a Helper – Pipe Shop to support pipe shop and project activities under the direction of others. The helper works with the foreman, superintendent, and other workers to complete projects on time, safely, and with quality. This is a second-shift position, Sunday through Thursday, from 4:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. EST. The role requires some knowledge of HVAC or general construction, dependable transportation and communication, punctuality, professional attire, and the ability to communicate clearly and follow direction. The helper must supply their own hand tools; trade-specific specialty tools may be required as work progresses. Applicants must successfully pass a background check and drug test. The work involves substantial standing, walking, reaching, gripping, climbing, and material handling, along with exposure to varied weather and job-site conditions. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Requirements

- Show up on time in appropriate attire and present professionally.
- Bring personal hand tools; trade-specific specialty tools may be required as work progresses.
- Ability to communicate clearly with the foreman and follow directions.
- Ability to arrive on time and ready to work.
- Must successfully pass a background check and drug test.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Ability to meet the stated physical demands, including occasional lifting up to 115 lbs. when handling materials, frequent lifting up to 50 lbs., and constant lifting up to 25 lbs.
Responsibilities
- Assist with general work activities as directed.
- Support the foreman and superintendent in completing projects on time.
- Perform quality and productive work without constant reminders.
- Communicate with the foreman and superintendent.
- Assist in unloading trucks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow safety policies and procedures.
- Observe, report, and correct unsafe work environments.
- Collaborate with other workers to complete projects.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by the company.
