About The Position

Loenbro is seeking experienced pipefitters to join its team in the fabrication shop. The position is responsible for planning and installing piping systems for assigned construction projects and sites. Candidates should have experience welding, joining, and installing varied piping systems, as well as installing manual and electric safety valves. The role involves configuring piping layouts from blueprints, ensuring liquids and other materials are shut off before work begins, cutting, bending, and welding carbon and stainless steel, clearing debris and hazardous materials from pipes, and securely installing and joining piping or tubing segments. Work takes place in manufacturing, pipeline, and refining environments and requires compliance with applicable safety regulations, PPE requirements, and Loenbro's EH&S policies.

Requirements

Three years of experience as a pipefitter; a pipe-fitter apprenticeship is preferred.
High school degree or equivalent educational experience.
Vocational school or trade apprenticeship required.
Must meet all state license requirements.
Accurate and precise attention to detail.
Self-motivated, with a drive to learn and grow.
Ability to work as part of a team and solve problems.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of local, state, and federal building code regulations regarding piping systems.
OSHA 10.

Responsibilities

Configure pipe systems from blueprints and plan piping system layouts.
Ensure steam, water, chemicals, or other liquids are turned off before working on piping systems.
Precisely cut, bend, and weld metals such as carbon and stainless steel.
Clean and clear debris and hazardous materials from pipes as needed.
Securely install piping or tubing segments using welding or other equipment.
Thread, weld, or solder piping together.
Plan and install piping systems for assigned construction projects and sites.
Install manual and electric safety valves.
