About The Position

The Pickleball Pro teaches private pickleball lessons and group programming, coordinates leagues and mixers, and uses student-centered, rally-based teaching. The role focuses on growing a personal book of business and revenue to meet or exceed personal and department financial goals, while providing member-centered customer service that encourages repeat business and referrals. The pro teaches on court an average of 30 or more hours per week and helps deliver positive, ongoing member experiences through lessons, programs, tournaments, and special events.

Requirements

Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, outgoing, positive attitude.
Thorough knowledge of pickleball and effective teaching styles and techniques.
Excellent communication, time management, and organization skills.
Ability to work with all age groups and build positive relationships with members and team members.
Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds.
High school graduate or equivalent.
One to two years of experience.
Within six months of hire, must complete certification from the International Pickleball Teaching Professional Association (IPTPA) and/or Professional Pickleball Registry (PPR).

Nice To Haves

CPR and AED certification.

Responsibilities

Monitor, demonstrate, and instruct students during pickleball lessons on techniques, tactics, and strategies to improve their game.
Personally teach on court an average of 30 or more hours per week.
Develop safe, professional, and comprehensive lessons and programs that support student development and continued involvement.
Coordinate pickleball leagues and mixers.
Grow a personal book of business and revenue to meet or exceed personal and department financial goals.
Provide member-centered customer service that encourages repeat business and referrals.
Involve members in programs, tournaments, and special events, using available marketing support and tools.
Ensure pickleball facilities and equipment are clean, organized, and in good working condition.
Participate in system-wide sales efforts with Membership Advisors and Member Activities, helping make pickleball an integral part of the Life Time brand.
Attend meetings related to pickleball.
