About The Position

The Pickleball Pro teaches private pickleball lessons and group programs, coordinates leagues and mixers, and uses student-centered, rally-based teaching methods. The role is expected to teach on court an average of 30 or more hours per week and to grow personal business and revenue to meet or exceed personal and department financial goals. The Pickleball Pro provides member-centered service that supports repeat business and referrals.

The role develops safe, professional, comprehensive lessons and programs that help students progress and encourage continued participation. It creates strong member experiences through programs, tournaments, and special events; uses available marketing support and tools; and keeps pickleball facilities and equipment clean, organized, and in good working condition. The Pickleball Pro also participates in system-wide sales efforts with Membership Advisors and Member Activities, attends pickleball-related meetings, and helps make pickleball an integral part of the Life Time brand.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• One to two years of experience.
• Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, outgoing, positive attitude.
• Thorough knowledge of pickleball and effective teaching styles and techniques.
• Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
• Comfort working with all age groups and building positive relationships with members and team members.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Within six months of hire, complete certification from the International Pickleball Teaching Professional Association (IPTPA) and/or Professional Pickleball Registry (PPR).

Nice To Haves

• CPR and AED certification.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, demonstrate, and instruct students during pickleball lessons on techniques, tactics, and strategies to improve their game.
• Personally teach on court an average of 30 or more hours per week.

• Create positive member experiences through programs, tournaments, and special events, using available marketing support and tools.
• Keep pickleball facilities and equipment clean, organized, and in good working condition.
• Participate in system-wide sales efforts with Membership Advisors and Member Activities.
• Attend meetings related to pickleball.
• Grow personal business and revenue to meet or exceed personal and department financial goals.
• Provide member-centered customer service to encourage repeat business and referrals.
