About The Position

The Pickleball Pro teaches private lessons and group programming, coordinates pickleball leagues and mixers, and uses student-centered, rally-based teaching. The role is responsible for growing a personal book of business and revenue to meet or exceed personal and department financial goals, while providing member-centered service that encourages repeat business and referrals.

The Pickleball Pro instructs students in techniques, tactics, and strategies, personally teaching on court an average of 30 or more hours per week. The role develops safe, professional, and comprehensive lessons and programs that support student development, continued participation, and positive member experiences. The position also supports programs, tournaments, special events, sales efforts, and the upkeep of pickleball facilities and equipment.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, outgoing, and positive attitude.
• Thorough knowledge of pickleball and effective teaching styles and techniques.
• Excellent communication, time-management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work with all age groups and build positive relationships with members and team members.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of experience.
• Within six months of hire, complete International Pickleball Teaching Professional Association (IPTPA) and/or Professional Pickleball Registry (PPR) certification.

Nice To Haves

• CPR and AED certified.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, demonstrate, and instruct students during pickleball lessons on proper techniques, tactics, and strategies.
• Personally teach on court an average of 30 or more hours per week.
• Develop safe, professional, and comprehensive pickleball lessons and programs that support student development, continued involvement, and a positive Net Promoter Score.
• Create exceptional member experiences through programs, tournaments, and special events, making full use of available marketing support and tools.
• Ensure pickleball facilities and equipment are clean, organized, and in good working condition.
• Participate in system-wide sales efforts with Membership Advisors and Member Activities, helping make pickleball an integral component of the Life Time brand.
• Attend meetings related to pickleball.
• Grow a personal book of business and revenue to meet or exceed personal and department financial goals.
• Provide member-centered customer service that encourages repeat business and referrals.
