About The Position
Teach private pickleball lessons and group programming, and coordinate pickleball leagues and mixers. Use student-centered learning and rally-based teaching. Grow a personal book of business and revenue to meet or exceed personal and department financial goals. Provide member-centric customer service that encourages repeat business and referrals. The role involves teaching on court an average of 30 or more hours per week and creating safe, professional, comprehensive lessons and programs that support student development and continued involvement. The Pickleball Pro also helps create exceptional member experiences through programs, tournaments, special events, and participation in the system-wide sales effort.
Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, outgoing, and positive attitude.
- Thorough knowledge of pickleball and effective teaching styles and techniques.
- Excellent communication, time-management, and organizational skills.
- Comfort working with all age groups and building positive relationships with members and team members.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- 1–2 years of experience.
- Within six months of hire, complete certification through the International Pickleball Teaching Professional Association (IPTPA) and/or Professional Pickleball Registry (PPR).
Nice To Haves
- CPR and AED certification.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, demonstrate, and instruct students during pickleball lessons on proper techniques, tactics, and strategies.
- Personally teach on court an average of 30 or more hours per week.
- Develop safe, professional, and comprehensive pickleball lessons and programs that support student development, continued involvement, and a positive Net Promoter Score.
- Create exceptional member experiences by involving members in programs, tournaments, and special events.
- Use available marketing support and tools.
- Ensure pickleball facilities and equipment are clean, organized, and in good working condition.
- Participate in the system-wide sales effort with Membership Advisors and Member Activities, ensuring pickleball is an integral component of the Life Time brand.
- Attend meetings related to pickleball.
- Grow a personal book of business and revenue to meet or exceed personal and department financial goals.
- Provide member-centric customer service that encourages repeat business and referrals.
