About The Position

Pickers assemble and prepare warehouse orders using picking technology. Compensation is based on pick rate, with the opportunity to earn up to $24.00 per hour; pickers in training earn $17.00 per hour. The role has a Monday–Friday schedule with a 7:00 a.m. start time and is based in a temperature-controlled warehouse. Eagle Distributing is a family-owned and operated company founded in 2001. Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or GED.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to work flexible hours that may include some nights and weekend shifts.
Ability to work under minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Assemble orders using picking technology.
Move packaged products by hand from racks, shelves, bins, or the floor onto pick pallets.
Sort and place packaged products on racks, shelves, or bins according to a predetermined sequence, such as size, type, style, or product code.
Operate a shrink-wrap machine to secure orders for transit.
Mark orders with identifying information using “born on date” identification tags.
Rotate stock, consolidate pallets, and maintain warehouse inventory.
Assist with physical inventory counts.
Safely operate warehouse equipment, including powered hand trucks, sit-down fork trucks, and pallet riders.
Load and unload side- and end-load trailers with palletized freight using a sit-down fork truck.
Organize and maintain a clean and safe warehouse, including sweeping, mopping, removing trash, and sanitation.
Perform facilities maintenance as assigned.
Follow safety policies, keeping the warehouse picked up and accessible to coworkers and customers.
Receive inbound freight into inventory using a scanner and software.
Perform other duties as assigned.
