Piano Education Producer - Full-time, Los Angeles (Online Education)
About The Position
Pickup Music is seeking a professional pianist to lead the development of piano lessons. This role involves preparing and teaching lessons on camera, producing other teachers to create lessons, and supporting their community of piano learners. The ideal candidate is a professional pianist with extensive performing experience, proficient in sight-reading and improvisation across multiple styles. They should be passionate about creating video lessons for beginner to intermediate students and excited to contribute to a fast-growing music technology company. This is a full-time role based in Los Angeles, with normal working hours from Monday to Friday. The position requires being in the studio at least 80% of the time, with some pre and post-production work potentially done from home. The company emphasizes focused, meaningful work, with the primary deep work involving writing, producing, and filming piano curriculum. The first 30 days will include onboarding, planning the first course, teaching a course with producer support, and starting work on the first learning pathway. Day-to-day tasks include working with the piano lead, head of education, and the LA production team, directing and producing talent, and seeing classes through to publication. The company provides coaching on producing classes and emphasizes learning from feedback.
Requirements
