About The Position

Ensemble Music Schools is seeking a fun, experienced, and professional voice and piano instructor to teach in person part-time at Schaumburg Music Academy in Schaumburg, Illinois. The instructor will teach students at all skill levels, from beginning through advanced. Teachers can set their availability within the school’s open hours, though consistent availability is appreciated; preference will be given to candidates available Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Schaumburg Music Academy, founded in 1973, provides fun, personalized, and professional music education in a positive and welcoming environment. It serves more than 200 weekly students and offers instruction in voice, piano, violin, guitar, drums, and other instruments. Ensemble Schools is a partnership of community-driven music and dance schools that share resources while maintaining their individual identities. The organization aims to support high-quality music education and the professional growth of its teachers by handling administrative details and providing marketing resources to support steady growth in students and teaching hours.

Requirements

Strong music background, evidenced by a degree in music performance or pedagogy, or equivalent performing experience.
Demonstrated love of teaching.
Experience working with young musicians.
Punctuality and reliability.
Reliable transportation.
Ability to pass a routine background check.

Nice To Haves

Availability on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays is preferred.
