Piano and Voice Teacher - Schaumburg, IL
About The Position
Ensemble Music Schools is seeking a fun, experienced, and professional voice and piano instructor to teach in person at Schaumburg Music Academy in Schaumburg, Illinois. The instructor will teach students of all skill levels, from beginning through advanced. Teachers may set their availability within the school’s open hours, with consistency appreciated by students and staff. Preference is given to candidates available Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Pay is commensurate with experience and ranges from $25 to $30 per hour. Schaumburg Music Academy, founded in 1973, provides personalized music education in a positive and welcoming environment. It serves more than 200 weekly students and offers instruction in voice, piano, violin, guitar, drums, and other instruments. Ensemble Music Schools supports its teachers by handling administrative details and providing professional marketing resources intended to support steady growth in students and teaching hours. The organization emphasizes stewardship, growth, and supporting teachers and students.
Requirements
- Strong music background demonstrated by a degree in music performance or pedagogy, or equivalent performing experience.
- Demonstrated love of teaching.
- Experience working with young musicians.
- Punctuality and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a routine background check.
Nice To Haves
- Availability on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays is preferred.
- Consistency in teaching availability is appreciated by students and school staff.
