About The Position
Henry Ford Health is seeking a Physician to provide comprehensive medical services to patients in an assigned area. The physician evaluates and treats patients, coordinates care, and supports patients, families, and the broader healthcare team to promote high-quality care and positive patient experiences. The position is with Henry Ford Health's Providence Hospitals, a network serving communities across Oakland County, and includes participation in academic programs such as medical education and research when requested.
Requirements
- Medical degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of Michigan.
- Board certification or eligibility in the relevant medical specialty.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in inpatient and outpatient consultation.
- Familiarity with discharge planning and case management processes.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients using appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills.
- Coordinate discharge planning with case management to support seamless patient transitions.
- Recommend and participate in initiatives to improve cost-effectiveness and quality of care.
- Accept patient referrals and act as admitting, attending, and/or consulting physician for hospitalized patients.
- Participate in academic programs, including medical education and research, as requested.
- Provide accurate documentation to meet insurance requirements and promptly appeal denials.
