About The Position

The Physician provides clinical services to patients consistent with their training and expertise, with patient care as the highest priority. The role involves the clinical practice of medicine in inpatient or outpatient settings, or both. The physician documents clinical care and completes documentation and tasks necessary for billing and other administrative functions. Continuing medical education is required to maintain licensure and board certification. The physician also performs other duties as assigned and complies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.

Requirements

• MD, DO, DMD, or DDS degree.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Georgia.
• Completion of the residency training required for the physician’s specialty.
• Certified or qualified for certification by the respective specialty board.
• Previous practice experience in a residency training program.
• Skills commensurate with the physician’s specialty.
• Proof of competency for the clinical skills applied for.

Nice To Haves

• Prior practice experience in lieu of residency training is preferred.
