About The Position

Vituity is seeking a Hospital Medicine Nocturnist physician for Adventist Health Bakersfield, a 254-bed acute care hospital in Bakersfield, California. The hospital has an annual volume of more than 200,000 and a 30-bed closed ICU. Hospitalists cover the ICU overnight from 5 p.m. to 7 a.m. The stated workload is 16–18 encounters per day per hospitalist and 16 encounters per night per nocturnist.

Qualified candidates may receive a sign-on bonus of up to $100,000. Vituity is a physician-owned partnership offering autonomy, local control, financial transparency, partnership participation from day one, and career development opportunities. The partnership includes profit distributions, equity ownership, and K-1 tax advantages. The estimated annual base compensation is $275,000–$900,000, depending on site, specialty, clinical volume, schedule, and experience; total compensation may be higher through partnership income.
