About The Position

ProMedica Physicians Group (PPG) is seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist Physician in Toledo, Ohio. This role involves 12-hour shifts, requiring weekend and holiday coverage, with 100% inpatient or observation duties. The position is the main admitting service for most specialties, including a Level 1 nursery (no deliveries or circumcisions), a NICU, and a PICU, all with 24/7 coverage. There are significant opportunities for teaching through collaboration with the University of Toledo Medical School and the University of Toledo Pediatric residency program. Additionally, the role offers participation in various hospital committees and close work with ancillary staff for quality improvement initiatives. PPG focuses on preventive care and patient education across a wide range of medical specialties, aiming to help individuals maintain long-term health and manage complex conditions. Physicians utilize the latest medical knowledge and collaborate closely with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure personalized, effective care.

Requirements

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited institution in the applicable specialty.
Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in the state(s) where care is provided
Board certified or board eligible in the relevant specialty.
Current American Heart Association (AHA) certification(s) applicable to your role (e.g., BLS, ACLS, PALS, etc.).
Commitment to ongoing continuing medical education (CME) and professional development.

Responsibilities

100% Inpatient or observation
Main Admitting service for most specialties

NICU on campus with 24/7 coverage
PICU on campus with 24/7 coverage
