About The Position

ProMedica Physicians Group (PPG) is seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist Physician in Toledo, Ohio. This opportunity is with Ebeid Children's Hospital and is a full-time position with 40 weekly hours. The role involves 12-hour shifts, either from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM or 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, and requires working weekends and holidays. The position is 100% inpatient or observation, serving as the main admitting service for most specialties. The hospital has a Level 1 nursery (no deliveries or circumcisions), a NICU on campus with 24/7 coverage, and a PICU on campus with 24/7 coverage. There are significant opportunities for teaching through collaboration with the University of Toledo Medical School and the University of Toledo Pediatric residency program. The role also offers the chance to participate in various hospital committees and work closely with ancillary staff on quality improvement initiatives. PPG focuses on preventive care and patient education across a wide range of medical specialties, helping individuals maintain long-term health and manage complex conditions. Physicians apply the latest medical knowledge and collaborate closely with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure personalized, effective care at every stage of life. Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited institution in the applicable specialty.
• Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in the state(s) where care is provided.
• Board certified or board eligible in the relevant specialty.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) certification(s) applicable to your role (e.g., BLS, ACLS, PALS, etc.).
• Commitment to ongoing continuing medical education (CME) and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main admitting service for most specialties.
• Participate in various hospital committees.
• Work closely with ancillary staff for quality improvement initiatives.
• Provide teaching opportunities through collaboration with the University of Toledo Medical School and the University of Toledo Pediatric residency program.
