PHYSICIAN - Pediatric Hospitalist - Fargo, ND
About The Position
Seeking a full-time Pediatric Hospitalist to join the growing pediatric inpatient services at Essentia Health Hospital in Fargo, ND. This is a well-established and respected practice that includes 3 physicians and 3 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). The role involves 24-hour shifts with an APP working alongside the physician for dyad coverage. Hospitalists do not cover ICU, Peds ICU, or NICU. The average pediatric census is 2 to 3 patients per day, and daily newborn rounding coverage is required. Circumcisions are a preferred/required special procedure, with other procedures dependent on experience. Leadership options are available.
Requirements
- BE/BC Pediatrician
- Pediatric candidates only
- Excellent interpersonal communication and teamwork skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience with special procedures such as circumcisions.
Responsibilities
- Provide pediatric inpatient services.
- Cover daily newborn rounding.
- Perform circumcisions and other procedures as applicable.
- Collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers for dyad coverage.
- Manage an average pediatric census of 2 to 3 patients per day.
