About The Position

Carle Health is seeking a BE/BC Pediatrician to join their team as a PRN Pediatric Hospitalist at Carle Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney, Illinois. This PRN Pediatric Hospitalist opportunity provides a combination of Pediatric Hospitalist and Level II Nursery coverage. The schedule consists of two weekends per month, with coverage from Friday evening through Monday morning. On call requires a 20-minute response time. The role is responsible for newborn nursery care and pediatric inpatient consultation/coverage as needed. Procedural experience is required, including neonatal intubation and umbilical venous and arterial line placement. The position offers a supportive clinical environment with access to subspecialty consultation and transfer services. The practice is established at Carle Richland Memorial Hospital, a 25-bed Critical Access DNV-accredited facility serving more than 109,000 residents across eight Southeastern Illinois counties. The facility includes a Level II Nursery, 24-hour air and ground transport access to a Level I Trauma Center within 45 minutes, and access to advanced imaging services. Carle Health is a not-for-profit organization with Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) eligibility.

Requirements

BE/BC Pediatrician
Procedural experience required, including neonatal intubation
Procedural experience required, including umbilical venous and arterial line placement
Ability to respond within 20 minutes when on call

Responsibilities
