About The Position

Baptist Health Medical Group (BHMG), part of Baptist Health South Florida (BHSF), is seeking to employ an Oncologic Endocrinologist to join the Herbert Wertheim Cancer Institute. This institute is part of Baptist Health Cancer Care, which has received high ratings from U.S. News & World Report for various cancers. The Herbert Wertheim Cancer Institute is Florida's only member of the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Alliance, with dedicated physicians, active clinical trials, and a high volume of infusion visits and diagnostic procedures annually. This is a full-time opportunity to develop and grow a dedicated Endocrine Oncology practice focused on the diagnosis and management of advanced thyroid cancer, thyroid nodular disease, and adrenocortical carcinoma. The role involves performing thyroid and cervical lymph node fine needle aspiration (FNA) biopsies in a dedicated outpatient FNA clinic. There is an opportunity to collaborate with a high-volume endocrine surgery program and join an established multidisciplinary endocrine oncology program. This outpatient-focused position includes four days of clinic and one day of dedicated FNA clinic weekly, with no routine hospital-based call coverage. The role also offers the chance to help expand a unique endocrine oncology program and manage advanced thyroid cancer patients receiving targeted systemic therapies. The Wertheim Cancer Institute is recognized for its human subjects research practices. Requirements

  • MD/DO from an accredited institution
  • Active and unrestrictive medical license (or eligibility for licensure by start date)
  • Satisfactory completion of all required due diligence tasks and credentialing
  • Board Eligible/Board Certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM)
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine residency
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Endocrinology fellowship training program

Responsibilities
