About The Position

Bassett Healthcare Network, in central New York is seeking full-time BC/BE Endocrinologist. Join an established group of 3 physicians, 2 diabetes advanced practice clinicians, and 3 diabetes nurse specialists. Practice within Bassett Healthcare Network, an integrated system delivering care across an 8-county region. Become a part of Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive academic health system and major teaching affiliate of Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. This role involves outpatient endocrinology clinic care with shared in-patient call responsibilities. You will evaluate, diagnose and treat patients who have endocrinopathies including disorders of the pituitary, parathyroid, thyroid, adrenals, pancreas, metabolism and bone disease. Provide appropriate follow-up care of patients (both in-clinic and remote). Collaborate with other specialties (such as endocrine surgery, nuclear medicine, nephrology, cardiology, neurosurgery, interventional radiology, among others) in the care of patients with endocrinopathies. There are opportunities for supervision and teaching of medical residents and students in both outpatient and inpatient settings, as well as supported clinical research and quality improvement work. Active involvement in division meetings, quality improvement work and CME (such as Medicine Grand Rounds) is expected. Visa Sponsorship is available for J-1 and H-1B candidates.

Requirements

  • MD, DO or MBBS
  • BC/BE
  • Completion of an accredited USA Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism Fellowship
  • New York State Licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
  • BLS Certification Required
  • DEA Required
