About The Position

Bassett Healthcare Network, in central New York is seeking full-time BC/BE Endocrinologist. This is an outpatient endocrinology clinic care position with shared in-patient call responsibilities. The role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with endocrinopathies including disorders of the pituitary, parathyroid, thyroid, adrenals, pancreas, metabolism, and bone disease. The physician will provide appropriate follow-up care, collaborate with other specialties, and supervise/teach medical residents and students. Opportunities for supported clinical research and quality improvement work are available, along with active involvement in division meetings, quality improvement work, and CME.

Requirements

• MD, DO or MBBS
• BC/BE
• Completion of an accredited USA Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism Fellowship
• New York State Licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
• BLS Certification Required
• DEA Required

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose and treat patients who have endocrinopathies including disorders of the pituitary, parathyroid, thyroid, adrenals, pancreas, metabolism and bone disease
• Provide appropriate follow-up care of patients (both in-clinic and remote)
• Collaborate with other specialties (such as endocrine surgery, nuclear medicine, nephrology, cardiology, neurosurgery, interventional radiology, among others) in the care of patients with endocrinopathies
• Supervision and teaching of medical residents and students in both outpatient and inpatient settings
• Opportunities for supported clinical research and quality improvement work
• Active involvement in division meetings, quality improvement work and CME (such as Medicine Grand Rounds)
