About The Position

Baptist Health Medical Group (BHMG), part of Baptist Health South Florida (BHSF), is seeking to employ an Integrative Oncology Physician to join the Herbert Wertheim Cancer Institute (HWCI). HWCI is a nationally recognized destination for comprehensive, multidisciplinary cancer care and Florida's only member of the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Alliance. The Institute brings together over 116 dedicated physicians, participates in nearly 200 active clinical trials, and performs a high volume of infusion visits and diagnostic procedures annually. Baptist Health Cancer Care has received significant recognition from U.S. News & World Report for its high-performing cancer care. This is a full-time opportunity to help expand a growing Integrative Oncology program focused on evidence-informed, whole-person care throughout the cancer journey.

Requirements

  • MD/DO from an accredited institution.
  • Active and unrestrictive medical license (or eligibility for licensure by start date).
  • Satisfactory completion of all required due diligence tasks and credentialing.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible through the American Board of Integrative Medicine (ABOIM).

Nice To Haves

  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Family Medicine (ABFM) or Internal Medicine (ABIM) is strongly preferred.
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency training program in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
  • Formal Integrative Medicine fellowship training is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive outpatient integrative oncology care utilizing evidence-informed approaches to support symptom management, survivorship, wellness, nutrition, lifestyle modification, and quality of life.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including medical oncology, surgical oncology, radiation oncology, supportive care, nutrition, behavioral health, rehabilitation, and survivorship services to deliver comprehensive cancer care.
  • Deliver patient and physician education related to integrative medicine, lifestyle medicine, and whole-person cancer care.
  • Participate in clinical research initiatives, quality improvement projects, and scholarly activities aligned with institutional priorities.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary breast tumor boards and treatment planning conferences informed by the latest clinical evidence and national guidelines.
