About The Position
Baptist Health is hiring a full-time Physician Office Registered Nurse for Baptist Cardiology at Baptist World Golf Village. The role is based at 559 W Twincourt Trl, Saint Augustine, Florida. The position provides nursing assistance to physicians, greets and chaperones patients during the medical portion of visits, obtains vital signs, and maintains medical documentation. The office is described as team- and family-oriented, busy, and fast-paced. The desired candidate is focused, task-oriented, self-motivated, energetic, flexible, professional, friendly, well-spoken, and committed to a strong work ethic. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Requirements
- Licensed Registered Nurse required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
- Clinical experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility.

Responsibilities
- Schedule care, treatment, follow-up visits, and diagnostic tests according to physicians’ directions.
- Handle and process prescriptions and referrals.
- Perform tests on the waived laboratory test list.
- Provide IV therapy.
- Manage patient phone calls and provide appropriate advice and instructions.
- Educate patients and their families about cardiovascular conditions, treatment plans, and lifestyle modifications.
- Determine the urgency of patients’ conditions.
- Administer EKGs as ordered by physicians.
- Provide instructions on medication management, dietary changes, and other therapeutic interventions.
- Assist other team members as needed.
- Provide compassionate patient care and support throughout the visit.
- Assist physicians with nursing needs, greet and chaperone patients during the medical portion of visits, obtain vital signs, and maintain medical documentation.
