Pet Playtime Coordinator - World Golf Village
About The Position
Pet Paradise is seeking a Pet Playtime Coordinator to organize and manage daytime play groups at its World Golf Village resort. The role involves caring for dogs in play areas, including the play-yard and pool, and helping ensure their play is safe, engaging, and appropriately managed. The starting rate is $15.00 per hour, with a $0.50 increase six months after the hire date and an additional $0.50 increase on the annual anniversary date. Team members work in a pet-care environment focused on providing attentive care to pets and a positive experience for their parents. The position offers opportunities to pursue company training and career development, including leadership, dog training, and grooming programs. Employees may bring their dog to complimentary Pet Day Camp and can access other listed benefits, subject to stated eligibility conditions.
Requirements
- Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
- A genuine passion for working with animals.
- Ability to work in all-weather conditions, including heat and humidity, and exposure to pool water.
- Comfort around dogs of all sizes and physical ability to handle dogs of all sizes and lift up to 60 pounds.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, pull, push, and grasp.
- Flexibility to meet resort scheduling needs, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and peak times.
Responsibilities
- Interact with and monitor dogs in play areas, including the play-yard and pool, using appropriate toys and tools to maintain safe play.
- Maintain visual observation of dogs at all times and distribute attention and play among all dogs in the playgroup.
- Minimize stress among dogs in the playgroup and handle aggressive or unusual behaviors.
- Control play levels by following management procedures and instructions and using proper dog-handling techniques.
- Assist the team with cleaning and play-yard maintenance duties.
