About The Position

Pet Paradise is seeking a Pet Playtime Coordinator to organize and manage daytime play groups at its Kyle resort. The role involves interacting with and monitoring dogs in play areas, including the play-yard and pool, and using appropriate toys and tools to keep play safe. Coordinators maintain visual observation of all dogs, distribute attention across the group, minimize stress, respond to aggressive or unusual behavior, and manage play in accordance with management instructions and dog-handling procedures. The role also assists with cleaning and play-yard maintenance.

The position requires working in all-weather conditions, including heat and humidity, and exposure to pool water. Coordinators must be comfortable around dogs of all sizes and able to handle them physically, including lifting up to 60 pounds. Scheduling needs may include days, nights, weekends, holidays, and peak times.

The starting rate is $13.00 per hour, with a $0.50 increase six months after hire and another $0.50 increase on the annual anniversary date. Advancement and company-paid training opportunities are available, including leadership, dog training, and grooming academies.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service and organizational skills.

• Ability to work in all-weather conditions, including heat and humidity, with exposure to pool water.
• Comfort around dogs of all sizes and physical ability to handle dogs of all sizes and lift up to 60 pounds.
• Ability to work under conditions requiring sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, and grasping.
• Flexibility to meet resort scheduling needs, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and peak times.

Responsibilities

• Organize and manage daytime dog play groups.
• Interact with and monitor dogs in play areas, including the play-yard and pool, using appropriate toys and tools to maintain safe play.
• Maintain visual observation of dogs at all times and distribute attention and play among all dogs in the group.
• Minimize stress levels and handle aggressive or unusual behaviors.
• Control levels of play by following management procedures and instructions and using proper dog-handling techniques.
• Assist the team with cleaning and play-yard maintenance duties.
