About The Position

The West Virginia University Health System (WVUHS) Medical Group is seeking an OBGYN Hospitalist to practice in Martinsburg, WV. The Obstetrics and Gynecology providers of WVU Medicine offer a comprehensive range of women's health services. The hospital has an annual volume of 1,100 deliveries, utilizing a mixed model of MDA & CRNA and midwives with delivery privileges. Providers deliver the latest innovative advances in obstetric and gynecologic care. Berkeley Medical Center, a 195-bed non-profit acute care hospital, provides extensive services including radiology, a wound care center, Level III NICU, ICU, oncology, neurosurgery, and a Cardiac Cath Lab. Recent expansions include new outpatient and main hospital operating rooms to enhance services in robotics, orthopedics, and vascular health. The WVU Health System is West Virginia's largest health system and private employer, with over 25 hospitals and an 800-bed academic medical center in Morgantown. The Eastern Panhandle location offers a rural atmosphere, lower cost of living, and easy access to Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, MD, making it an attractive place to live and work.

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent.
  • Eligible to obtain a state medical license.
  • Completed an OB/Gyn Residency program.
  • Board certified or eligible in Obstetrics/Gynecology.
  • All qualifications must be met at the time of appointment.

Responsibilities

  • Practice in the area of Obstetrics and Gynecology as a Hospitalist.
  • Provide a full spectrum of women’s health services, from adolescence through menopause and beyond.
  • Offer preventive exams, specialized gynecologic treatment, and obstetric services.
  • Utilize the latest innovative advances in obstetric and gynecologic care.
