About The Position

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking an experienced OB Hospitalist (OBGYN Hospitalist) to join a high-acuity, high-autonomy practice in Spokane, WA. This is a dynamic environment ideal for physicians who thrive in independent decision-making roles and enjoy managing complex obstetric care. This is a fully inpatient role, with consistent exposure to complex, high-risk obstetric cases. The practice serves as a high-volume transport-in center for Spokane and surrounding communities, offering exposure to advanced pathology and extended inpatient stays. The OB Hospitalist team manages about 20% of total deliveries at MuliCare Deaconess Hospital, which services 1800 deliveries annually and has a level III NICU. Physicians will function as the sole provider, having full ownership over triage, labor management, and emergencies, with 24/7 OB Hospitalist coverage. This role involves the management of unassigned and high-risk patients, including Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) patients, and is ideal for experienced physicians confident in independent clinical decision-making. The practice is supported by an established, supportive structure with a 5-physician hospitalist team, a collaborative culture, and strong subspecialty support. Requirements

• Board eligible/certified in OB/GYN.
• Comfortable practicing independently in a solo coverage model.
• Strong procedural skillset.
• Confidence in acute care scenarios.
• Thrives in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment.
• Open to part-time or full-time candidates.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex obstetric care in a high-acuity environment.
• Function as the sole provider, managing triage, labor, and emergencies.
• Provide 24/7 OB Hospitalist coverage.
• Manage unassigned and high-risk patients, including MFM patients.
• Work within MuliCare Deaconess Hospital, handling approximately 20% of annual deliveries.
• Collaborate with a 5-physician hospitalist team and subspecialty support.
