About The Position
The West Virginia University Health System (WVUHS) Medical Group is seeking an OBGYN Hospitalist for a PRN position. The successful candidate will practice primarily in Martinsburg, WV, and will be expected to provide Obstetrics and Gynecology services as a Hospitalist. The Obstetrics and Gynecology providers at WVU Medicine offer a comprehensive range of women's health services, from adolescence through menopause and beyond. The hospital has an annual volume of 1,100 deliveries, utilizing a mixed model of MDA & CRNA, and includes midwives with delivery privileges. Providers offer the latest innovative advances in obstetric and gynecologic care, including preventive exams and specialized gynecologic treatments. Berkeley Medical Center, where this role is based, is a 195-bed non-profit acute care hospital offering extensive radiology services, a wound care center, a Level III NICU, a 20-bed ICU, oncology services, neurosurgery services with a Mazor robot, and a Cardiac Cath Lab. The hospital has also expanded its OR services with new outpatient and main hospital ORs to support growth in robotics, orthopedics, and vascular health.
Requirements
- MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent.
- Eligible to obtain a state medical license.
- Completed an OBGYN residency program.
- Board certified or eligible in Obstetrics/Gynecology.
- All qualifications must be met at the time of appointment.
Responsibilities
- Practice in the area of Obstetrics and Gynecology as a Hospitalist.
- Provide a full spectrum of women’s health services, from adolescence through menopause and beyond.
- Offer preventive exams, specialized gynecologic treatment, and obstetric services.
- Utilize the latest innovative advances in obstetric and gynecologic care.
