About The Position

Essentia Health is seeking a Physician specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) for a full-time position (0.6 - 1.0 FTE) in Virginia, MN. The clinic is a multi-specialty facility with a supportive team environment, offering a full range of services including advanced imaging, laboratory, pharmacy, and therapy services. The position admits to the adjacent Essentia Health Virginia Hospital, a 30-bed facility with a Level II Birthing Center and Level IV trauma center. The role involves a 1:5 community call schedule and is supported by an OB/GYN Nurse Practitioner and Family Medicine physicians with surgical OB capabilities. The patient mix is primarily gynecologic, with high-risk obstetric consultations and dedicated OR blocks. The clinic sees an average of 18 patients per day, with 150-200 deliveries per year at the hospital. Services include epidurals, intrathecals, nitrous oxide, and low intervention birth, with support from RN triage and lactation consultants.
