About The Position

University of Maryland St Joseph Medical Center (UMSJMC), a member of the University of Maryland Medical System is seeking a BE/BC OB/GYN Physician to join our practice in Pikesville, Maryland. This is a historically minority, well-balanced Obstetrics and Gynecology practice seeking a new provider to replace a retirement from the office. The position offers daily weekday office hour opportunities (negotiable) and historically involved 4 call shifts per month within a hospitalist cross coverage model (negotiable). There are many surgical opportunities available including operative hysteroscopy, laparoscopy and DaVinci opportunities. The practice is supported by a Level 3 Nursery, MFM and GYN/ ONC support. The unit includes 9 LDR’s, 2 OR’s, 5 Triage beds, 20 beds in the Level III NICU, and 30 beds on the floor for postpartum, antepartum, and GYN patients. The hospital performs on average 2,200 deliveries per year. UMSJMC is a 218-bed Catholic hospital with more than 700 physicians on the medical staff, located in Towson, MD. Its numerous areas of specialization include cardiology, cancer, orthopaedics, emergency care, obstetrics and gynecology, surgical services, diabetes, psychiatric services and wound healing.

Requirements

License or eligibility to practice medicine in the state of Maryland
BE/BC in Obstetrics & Gynecology

Responsibilities

Provide Obstetrics and Gynecology care.
Perform surgical procedures including operative hysteroscopy, laparoscopy, and DaVinci procedures.
Participate in call shifts within a hospitalist cross coverage model.
Collaborate with MFM and GYN/ONC support.
