About The Position
Seeking a Board Certified OB/GYN physician for locum tenens coverage. This position requires 24/7 call coverage every 5th week, including the Labor and Delivery unit, Emergency Department, and Surgical services. Responsibilities include managing acute and urgent surgical needs, and providing clinic consultations for emergent cases to assess potential hospital admission. The anticipated patient volume is approximately 4 deliveries per day, with support from 2 Nurse Practitioners. The Electronic Health Record (EHR) system used is Cerner. Coverage is needed from September through January 2, 2027.
Requirements
- Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology (mandatory)
- Active Michigan medical licenses (mandatory; no exceptions)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in OB/GYN (mandatory)
- National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB) report must be obtained within the last 30 days (required at the time of application)

- Management of low-risk pregnancies
- Facilitation of vaginal deliveries

- Surgical repair of third and fourth-degree lacerations

- Amniocentesis Procedure
- 24/7 coverage of Labor and Delivery unit, Emergency Department, and Surgical services
- Addressing acute and urgent surgical needs
- Clinic consultations exclusively for emergent cases to assess potential hospital admission
