PHYSICIAN - OB/GYN
About The Position
William Newton Hospital is seeking a Physician specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) to provide comprehensive care to patients. This role involves managing prenatal care, deliveries, postpartum care, routine gynecological exams, and surgical procedures. The physician will also be responsible for diagnosing and treating various reproductive health issues and educating patients on family planning and disease prevention. Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
- Completion of an accredited four-to-five-year residency program in obstetrics and gynecology.
- Valid state medical license, DEA registration, and board certification (or eligibility) through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG).
- Strong communication skills.
- Emotional intelligence.
- Ability to handle high-pressure emergency situations.
Responsibilities
- Provide pre-natal, delivery (vaginal and C-sections), and post-partum care.
- Conduct routine wellness exams, Pap smears, breast exams, and pelvic checks.
- Diagnose and treat reproductive system disorders, infections, and hormonal issues.
- Perform gynecologic surgeries, such as hysterectomies or minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic procedures.
- Counsel patients on family planning, contraception, and disease prevention.
