About The Position

We are seeking one OB/GYN provider for coverage from Monday, November 9, 2026, at 6 PM to Monday, November 16, 2026, at 6 PM. The role encompasses a variety of clinical responsibilities, including on-call support, OB/GYN office and prenatal clinic duties, procedural involvement, and clinic operations. The prenatal clinic will predominantly consist of 100% prenatal care, with sessions typically scheduled 1-2 times a week, occasionally up to 3 times. The patient mix is expected to be approximately 90% prenatal and 10% GYN. The facility averages around 80 deliveries annually, with scheduled C-sections occasionally included during locum assignments. Newly assigned locum providers are required to arrive one day prior to their scheduled start date to complete necessary orientation related to hospital protocols, clinical practice, and EMR/CPOE systems. Proficiency with EMR and CPOE systems is mandatory; candidates should also be familiar with Dragon voice recognition software, as no dictation services will be available.

Requirements

  • Current certification in neonatal resuscitation.

Nice To Haves

  • Arrive one day prior to scheduled start date for orientation (hospital protocols, clinical practice, EMR/CPOE systems).
  • Pre-completed credentialing through the locum agency.
  • Successfully completed at least two prior locum assignments with positive evaluations.
  • New Hampshire medical license (permanent or locum, not temporary).
  • Ability to cover multiple weeks.
  • Ability to facilitate limited travel.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 24/7 on-call support, including outpatient and emergency department consultations, and inpatient OB/GYN care.
  • Manage OB/GYN office and prenatal clinic sessions, operating up to twice weekly (Tuesdays 2-5 PM, Fridays 9 AM - 12 PM).
  • Handle approximately 12 patients per clinic session, averaging 4 patients per hour.
  • Perform surgeries as the primary surgeon or assistant.
  • Manage labor and delivery.
  • Conduct inpatient rounds.
  • Operate prenatal clinic sessions 1-3 times a week, primarily on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9 AM for 1-3 hours.
  • Manage a patient mix of approximately 90% prenatal and 10% GYN.
  • Perform scheduled C-sections during locum assignments, ideally not overlapping with morning clinic hours.
