About The Position
The WVU Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute and WVU School of Medicine Department of Neurology seek a Neurologist at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor rank. The successful candidate will practice in Greensburg, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, at Westmoreland Hospital, a member of the integrated WVU Health System. The physician will practice neurology in a modern workspace equipped with audio dictation, an electronic medical record (EMR), and digital radiology. Care is delivered collaboratively with clinical assistants, medical assistants, and clerical and administrative staff. The role also includes teaching medical students and residents, attending medical group conferences and meetings, and participating in interviews and selection of prospective neurology candidates. The physician shares Neurology Department on-call responsibilities during holidays, evenings, and weekends.
Requirements
- MD or DO degree, or foreign equivalent.
- Eligibility for a state medical license.
- Completion of a neurology residency program.
- Board certified or board eligible in neurology.
- All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
Responsibilities
- Provide neurology care to patients.
- Share Neurology Department on-call responsibilities during holidays, evenings, and weekends.
