About The Position

Sanford Health is hiring a neurologist to provide medical care to patients in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and the surrounding area. The role requires completion of a Neurology residency and a Neuroimmunology fellowship. Applicants must be licensed or eligible for licensure in South Dakota and board certified or board eligible. Requirements

M.D. or D.O. degree, or an equivalent foreign medical degree.
Completion of a medical residency program in Neurology.
Completion of a medical fellowship program in Neuroimmunology.
Licensed or eligible for licensure in South Dakota.
Board certified or board eligible in the primary area of practice.
Successful completion of a Neurology residency accredited by the ACGME, AOA, or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada; other residency accreditation may be considered through the credentialing waiver process.
Applicants who have completed residency within the last five years and are not yet board certified must achieve certification within five years of residency completion, unless the relevant governing board waives the requirement.
Demonstrate experience appropriate to the privileges requested: recent residency graduates should provide residency logs and completed rotations; applicants not applying directly from residency should provide a hospital quality profile covering the last 12 months or, if unavailable, documentation of clinic activity for the last 12 months.
Demonstrate active involvement with at least 50 inpatients or 50 patients in clinical practice during the last 12 months, as applicable.
More education and experience may be required for more advanced practice.
