About The Position

UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Bolingbrook, GlenOaks, Hinsdale and La Grange hospitals are affiliated with UChicago Medicine and AdventHealth. The organization is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible General Neurologist to join its established and growing Neurology program. The employed role provides comprehensive neurological care in a collaborative, patient-centered environment, with a primarily outpatient practice, flexible scheduling options, advanced diagnostic and imaging resources, experienced Neurologists and Advanced Practice Providers, and established primary care and specialty referral relationships. The physician will have the opportunity to build a general neurology practice and pursue clinical interests. Experience in stroke care and cerebrovascular disease management is preferred.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an accredited Neurology residency program.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat a wide range of neurological conditions, including headaches and migraines, epilepsy and seizure disorders, neuromuscular disorders, Parkinson’s disease and movement disorders, multiple sclerosis, memory and cognitive disorders, peripheral neuropathy, and cerebrovascular disease.
• Provide stroke follow-up care.
• Collaborate with hospital-based teams to ensure continuity of care for stroke patients.
• Participate in the evaluation, management, and secondary prevention of stroke and cerebrovascular conditions.
