About The Position

Sanford Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible General Outpatient Neurologist to join its team at Marshfield Medical Center - Dickinson. This role can be based out of either Iron Mountain or Marquette, Michigan. While subspecialty expertise is valuable, it is not mandatory. This is an Outpatient Only, No Call role offering an excellent work/life balance. The practice will encompass a comprehensive range of outpatient only services covering General Neurology. Proficiency in EEG interpretation is required. Physicians are encouraged to be involved in medical education and research.

Requirements

M.D. or D.O. degree.
Successful completion of a Neurology residency program accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada.
Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/ subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable.
If not board certified at the time of application, must have completed residency training within the last five years and achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of residency training unless waived.
Proficiency in EEG interpretation is required.
Demonstrate active involvement of inpatient services to be at least 50 patients in the last 12 months (if not applying directly out of residency and quality profile is available).
Demonstrate active involvement in the care of 50 patients in clinical practice in the last 12 months (if quality profile is not available).

Responsibilities

Perform history and physical examination.
Admit patients (if applicable to the setting).
Provide consultative services.
Evaluate, diagnose, and provide nonsurgical care to patients of all ages presenting with illnesses, injuries, and disorders of the neurologic system.
Interpret EEGs.
