About The Position
The West Virginia University School of Medicine seeks a Neurology Physician for its School of Medicine Eastern Division regional campus. The successful candidate will practice in Berkeley and Jefferson Counties, WV. This role involves patient care, teaching medical students and residents, and managing a variety of neurological conditions. The practice is academically oriented and supportive, with opportunities for subspecialty development. The Eastern Panhandle location offers a rural atmosphere with easy access to Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, MD.
Requirements
- MD or DO or foreign equivalent.
- State medical license and DEA registration required.
- Completed an ACGME certified neurology residency program.
- Board certified/eligible in Neurology.
- Expertise in/knowledge of Neuromuscular or Neurophysiology required.
- All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
Responsibilities
- Practice in the area of neurology.
- Provide patient care.
- Actively involved in teaching medical students and residents.
- Manage a wide variety of neurologic conditions, including epilepsy/seizure disorders, stroke, chronic headaches/migraines, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s, and Alzheimer disease.
- Develop subspecialty interests.
