About The Position

The WVU Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute and WVU School of Medicine Department of Neurology seek a neurologist at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor rank. The successful candidate will practice in Greensburg, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, at Westmoreland Hospital, within the WVU Health System’s integrated network.

The neurologist will provide patient care and teach medical students and residents. The position includes shared Neurology Department on-call responsibilities during holidays, evenings, and weekends. The physician will also attend medical group conferences and meetings and participate in interviewing and selecting neurology candidates. The workspace includes audio dictation, an electronic medical record (EMR), and digital radiology, with care coordinated among clinical assistants, medical assistants, and clerical and administrative staff.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree, or foreign equivalent.
• Eligible for a state medical license.
• Completion of a neurology residency program.
• Board certified or board eligible in neurology.
• All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Practice in the area of neurology at Westmoreland Hospital in Greensburg, Pennsylvania.
• Provide excellent patient care.
• Share Neurology Department on-call responsibilities during holidays, evenings, and weekends.
• Teach medical students and residents.
• Attend medical group conferences and meetings.
• Participate in prospective neurology candidate interviews and candidate selection.
