About The Position

West Virginia University Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute and the Department of Neurology seek a Neurologist at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor rank. The successful candidate will practice in Wheeling, West Virginia, and provide excellent patient care in neurology. The role also includes active teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows.

Wheeling Hospital is part of the WVU Health System, an integrated network serving West Virginia and surrounding states. The hospital has 247 beds and a medical staff of 230 primary care and specialty physicians, with additional services and connected medical office buildings. Wheeling is a historic city on the Ohio River, 58 miles west of Pittsburgh, with cultural attractions and year-round recreational activities.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree, or foreign equivalent.
• Eligible for a state medical license.
• Completion of a neurology residency program.
• Board certified or board eligible in neurology.
• All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Practice in the area of neurology in Wheeling, West Virginia.
• Provide excellent patient care.
• Actively teach medical students, residents, and fellows.
